The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved novels in a time known as the Second Age. The elves believe they have totally vanquished evil, but Galadriel is convinced Sauron lurks on the edges of Middle-earth, waiting to strike. At the end of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Episode 1, a meteor flashes across the skies of Middle-earth. Where it crashes, a mysterious man known only as the Stranger (Daniel Weyman) emerges. Is this Stranger the new guise of Sauron? Or is he someone else?

WHEN DO NEW EPISODES OF THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER PREMIERE?
So you’ve already binged through the first two episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and you want more. You need to find out what happens to Galadriel and Halbrand, the harfoots and the Stranger, and the dwarves of Khazad-dûm. The good news is there is more Rings of Power on the way. But what day it drops depends on your time zone.
If you live on the east coast of the United States, new episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere weekly on Fridays at 12 AM ET. If you live on the west coast, however, new episodes premiere on Prime Video on Thursdays at 9 PM PT.

There are eight episodes in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 1, with a plan to produce “50 hours” of television total over the next few years. Eventually the series will depicting the forging of the titular rings of power and the last alliance between elves and men.
